Citer:
• Install the pads as normal using the Mazda hardware from the old pads.
You may discard and save the backing plates as the Axxis pads have an
integrated plate.
• Ensure the discs are free from any grease. Wiping them over with an
alcohol-based solution is advisable. If the discs are rusty on the swept
area it is advisable to replace the discs. We recommend genuine Mazda
discs.
• Once fitted, initially brake 3 or 4 times from 40-15mph gradually and
controlled to warm the pads/discs.
• Find an open road where you can drive for 15-25 minutes for the next
set of braking manoeuvres.
• Now brake from 70-30mph 5-8 times until the pedal feel is consistent.
These are very hard stops on the verge of lock-up, so be aware of
surrounding vehicles. The pads will initial feel very weak but get better
and better after each run until full power is reached. Be aware, there
will be a lot of smoke coming from the pads that is normal.
• Drive continuously for 10-15 minutes without using the brakes (if
possible, or at least not using them hard) or coming to a complete stop
(if possible).
• Park the car up overnight with the handbrake OFF.
