Bonjour!

First of all, I'm sorry to write in English (for a while :D )

Let me introduce myself:
I'm Alberto, from Turin, and I'm a Mx-5 owner since several years. I had first a 1.6L NB FL (anonymous gray) and now I'm driving a 1.8L "ex-anniversary": I call it "trackiversary", as it has full stripped interior, no A/C, no Power steering, 4.1 ring&pinion (over 6-gear), wating for full roll-cage. :D

Unfortunately it is not the good blue, as previous owner "destroyed" it by re-painting on a HORRIBLE black/blue/purple

By the way.. I forgot to mention that I'm one of the founders of the biggest italian community, Mx5Italia.com :D :D

Due to my job, I'm going to move soon to France (Poitiers area), so I have several questions for you starting from "where to meet?", stepping into "how should I do to register my car to France? should I re-assemble all the components?" to "where the tracks are?"

Salut!
Alberto

Welcome Alberto, :hello:

hat do you mean for this question?
Do you want French license plate?
If yes, you need the COC (Europeen certifiact of conformity), after that, you need a paper named "demande d'immatriculation" with several papers about the car (old official paper of the car, technical report named "Controle Technique"...) and you. If the COC is ok, you don't need to remove no-original parts. The roll cage is welded? If yes, it could be a problem for the Controle technique.
Is ti the answer you need?

For two other questions, I can't answers.

Have some pictures of your car?

Thank you very much for your answers!

Exactly, I will need to do a French license plate (after 6months living in another EU country, you should ask for the country ID, and you are required to re-ask for a license plate within one year).
To have COC and official papers of the car is not a big deal (are the same papers required here in Italy for a "historic certificate" request or to import a foreing car).

I'm more worried about the status of the car for the "Controle Technique": no air-bags, no interior trims, no moquette, etc.
Is rollcage legal (if bolted and NOT welded) in France?

I should start using technical sections of this forum, but I prefer to do it once I can speak French in a better way :)

Thanks!
