Béziers c'est à côté de chez moi et c'est moche! Mieux vaut passer par Pézenas beaucoup plus joli!
Bon séjour !
Je suis sur Narbonne donc pas très loin.
If you go to Carcassonne you can stay at the "3 couronnes hôtel". It is facing the medieval city and closed to the "old bridge". The hôtel has a nice panoramic restaurant and it is not that expensive.
If you go to Narbonne you have to visit Gruissan, nice village bording the sea.

The road taking you from Narbonne to Narbonne-Plage is a pure driving heaven. Twity road with uphills and down hills across pine trees. At the top of the hill you'll have a fantastic view of the seaside.

In the same area you can have a nice walk at the Sainte Lucie island.
However, if you fancy some nice roads and a much prettier coast, you'll have to go at the south of Perpignan and visit Collioure. Have a go to Cadaquès in Spain.
It is not that far from there (approx 2 hours from Narbonne) and you won't regret it.
If you go to Clermont-Ferrand, take the A75 motorway, it is free and it offers the best landscapes so far. Once you reach Issoire, you can go to the "Petit Mas" restaurant. Food is great but service is so so. Then, take the road to Le Mont d'Or, you'll have a great time.
You can PM me if you want to meet.
