My MX-5 I bought in 2008 as a new car. I've always wanted a roadster, but there were always reasons not to buy. Until it was fine in 2008 and I bought this car from the showroom.

I report on small and big tours with the Mazda MX-5. The tours begin or end mostly in Vienna, the city where I live. Each report includes photos, videos, and of course sometimes a graphical description to understand and retrace the routes. I ride very long trips, for example, from Vienna to Monaco or Rome. 2015, we go to the Cinque Terre, Nice and then through the French Alps and Switzerland back home.

In addition, I report on activities around the car - be it classic car events, trade visits or meetings where I participate.

The homepage is in German, but I have installed a plugin for the translation. This is the link to my page http://www.roadstertouren.at

My collection of mountain passes in real time grows in my youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/grmx5) and is steadily gaining popularity. The videos show the crossings with normal speed - neither accelerating nor decelerating - and uncut. Some of the rides are filmed by 3 cameras and I fade between camerapositions.

I think this gives a good impression, how the route looks like and how long the journey will take approximately. We drive without exception under the Road Traffic Act. This may seem slow on some routes on other again very fast. However, the speed impression depends strongly on the mounting point of the cameras.

More are in preparation and online shortly.
Here is the direct link to my collection: http://www.bluestream.at/Wordpress/touren/passfahrten-auf-video/

Even my collection of tours and passes steadily growing;-)

I'm sure your english is much better than my french ;)

Sometimes I use google-translate for e-mails in french but I'm sure the result may be very funny for you.

I think you need ~42hours for the passes-videos ;)

There is also a playlist with videos from our tour to monaco in 2012: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQvkn_6ZAzsnaQM_NS0jRJrtwiZv5kcfE
Have fun!

And we drive this year to france - at first we are 2 nights at Cinque Terre in Italy, then we drive to Nice (also 2 nights), then to Grasse and the Grand Canyon du Verdon and then over several passes to Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria.
This year we are a very small group of 1 MX-5, 1 BMW Z4M, 1 Chrysler Crossfire and from Verdon until Liechtenstein another MX-5 from Germany.
This is the rough planning of this tour: http://www.bluestream.at/Wordpress/wp-content/uploads/sommer15grob.jpg
May be that I contact you for tips for finding Hotels ;)
And it would be fine if we can meet the one or the other of you :hello:

If you plan a trip to Austria or Italy (e.g. the Dolomites) and need information, please just let me know.
